Conducted a comprehensive twelve-week Website Design course at Red & Yellow Creative School of Business. The curriculum emphasised the development of visually appealing, user-centric websites utilising low-code platforms. Students gained practical experience in translating design concepts into functional digital experiences, catering to a diverse audience including aspiring designers, entrepreneurs, and UX/UI professionals. Weekly sessions were conducted with comprehensive slide-decks providing deeper insight into the course material, as well as peripheral industry knowledge to help students meet their design goals. The course fostered a strong foundation in web design principles, enabling participants to effectively meet client requirements and build successful online platforms.

After completing my advanced diploma in User Centered Design (UX/UI), I was offered a tutoring position for students attending the course for the following year. In being a tutor, I was able to learn how others view problems and the best ways to explain possible solutions and outcomes to different people. Additionally, this allowed me to grapple with the content from an entirely new perspective - further solidifying my knowledge gained during this year of study. I have engaged with learner’s assessments thoroughly and thoughtfully to provide insightful feedback allowing them to hone their own UX/UI design skills whilst routinely testing and reinforcing my own knowledge. Helping students understand a wide variety of topics over a number of different courses, including topics such as the fundamentals of project management, web design, and user experience / user interface considerations.

I picked up a part-time bartending job for some extra income whilst applying for full-time positions and learning new skills. Although not directly translatable to the development and design industry, it has taught me how to operate quickly and efficiently under immense pressure. Additionally, I have greatly improved my people skills. I can communicate clearly and concisely with my co-workers, in addition to being attentive to a customer's needs. Additionally, it has taught me how to listen closely to what a client wants to be able to deliver a satisfying product.

MakeReign

During my Advanced Diploma at Red & Yellow, we would often have live briefs with real UX/UI Design and Developer companies. One of the companies we worked with was MakeReign. I enjoyed the logical feedback and briefing sessions with the MakeReign team and applied as an intern during my studies. Recognising me for my work on their live brief, they accepted my application. MakeReign is a prototyping and user experience design agency. I spent the majority of my internship sitting in on client briefs and learning industry tools and standards.

My technical and creative ability started in my early teen years. As the creator of a highly successful YouTube channel amassing nearly 70,000 subscribers, Acting as the sole editor, producer, strategist and planner for this channel and its content release strategies. Thereby honing creativity, technical expertise, and time management skills whilst building and maintaining a dedicated, steadily growing audience over a number of years. This experience provided a deep understanding of audience engagement, platform analytics, marketing strategies and storytelling skills allowing me to communicate effectively with my audience. This understanding lead to a thorough and effective branding and content strategy, all of which have laid a strong foundation for both collaborative and independent projects in my adult years.

Although I have experience in practical implementation, I have an in-depth understanding of commonly used design systems, methodologies and practices.
